Getting connected …

“This guide has been written and produced by RNIB, in partnership with many other organisations. Getting Connected is designed to be good practice guidance for community projects and services, to encourage more blind and partially sighted people to access the information, services and social networks they want. It also aims to encourage more mainstream digital inclusion services to support blind and partially sighted people.

Getting Connected contains information for any project, community resource or service looking to support people with sight loss to become digitally engaged and highlights some of the best practice, information, resources and support available.

RNIB Cymru’s Get Connected project has been funded by Communities 2.0, and provides support to blind and partially sighted people to get online and access digital services. It supports individuals and groups of all abilities to access new technology. Staff and volunteers in 18 local authority locations across Wales provide home visits, one-to-one services, and group training sessions in community venues.”
