Third Museums, Health and Wellbeing Conference

13 March 2018, 10.00-17.00, Thinktank, Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham B4 7XG

"The National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing is very pleased to be holding its third conference at Thinktank in Birmingham. The conference will also be the official launch of the new Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance (or CHWA). This will be the result of the National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing and the National Alliance for Arts, Health and Wellbeing merger to become a Sector Support Organisation funded by Arts Council England as part of the National Portfolio Fund 2018-2022.

The line-up includes speakers Emma Hanson the Head of Strategic Commissioning Adult Community Support from Kent County Council and Jane Povey GP and Founding Director of Creative Inspiration Shropshire. In the afternoon you will be able to choose from a range of interactive break-out sessions exploring green wellbeing, evaluation, embedding wellbeing as an organisation, staff wellbeing and working with learning disabled artists to design and deliver arts activities for children and families. There will also be stalls to visit featuring museum health and wellbeing projects, networking opportunities, five minute quick fires about new resources and programmes that can support your work and the chance to take part in our support surgery to help solve work-based challenges. Lunch will be provided.

This one-day event is aimed at museum professionals looking to develop their health and wellbeing offer as well as those interested in working in partnership with museums including health and social care workers, artists and art-therapy practitioners."

Cost: £35.00
